Ginger water

 Ingredients


1 medium fresh ginger root (about 2–3 inches), peeled


1 liter (4 cups) water

 Directions


 Peel the ginger and slice or grate it thinly.


 Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a saucepan.


 Add the ginger to the boiling water and reduce the heat to low.

 Strain the liquid into a bottle or jug.


 Add lemon juice and honey if desired. Stir well.
